In today’s blog post, I’ll explain three essential terms commonly used in online interior design. In short, I am talking about this: ‘E-design’ offers interior design services entirely online. ‘Virtual design’ involves interactive, real-time collaboration on designs remotely. ‘Online design’ covers any design services delivered via the internet.
What is E-Design?
First up is e-design. You may have noticed that many designers offer e-design services, but what exactly does this mean? E-design is essentially a straightforward design solution delivered to clients via email. It follows a simple structure, allowing for easy communication between the designer and the client.
When I offer e-design services, the process usually involves an initial consultation, which can take place through a call or email. During this consultation, I gather all the necessary information from you as the client. Once I have everything I need, I deliver the final design in a PDF document.
E-design offers a hassle-free experience. Many clients view it as an affordable option, though the specifics can vary depending on how each designer works with their clients.
The Difference Between E-Design and Virtual Design
The next term to discuss is virtual interior design. With virtual design, the designer provides you with a 3D walkthrough or a 360-degree panoramic view of the design. This allows you to visualize what your home will look like after the design process is complete.
I personally love virtual design because it simplifies the process for everyone involved. It helps ensure that both the designer and the client are on the same page, making it easier to navigate the project.
What is Online Design?
This term serves as an umbrella for all design services conducted online, encompassing both e-design and virtual design. Essentially, online design covers any form of interior design service that takes place in the digital space.
I hope you find this information helpful! If you’re interested in my services, I offer virtual interior design consultations online. I’m passionate about online design, so if you’d like to explore this further, feel free to reach out, and I’ll find a time to connect with you.
Thank you for reading! I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Have you come across any of these terms before? Are you considering a project in interior design or online interior design? Wishing you a wonderful day!
